Caledonian Building Services was founded by Directors, Gemma Saunders, and Ben McQueeney, following on from successful careers at a previous recruitment agents, they noticed the good and the bad, together they decided to start up their own company focussing on the core values and principles they believe make a good recruitment business.
With the backing of the Caledonian Recruitment Group this idea came to fruition in January 2020 and Caledonian Building Services was formed.
The Caledonian Recruitment group encapsulates all the values and goals that we have within the recruitment market.
Since we both started our careers in recruitment, we have been hungry not only to increase our yearly billings but our personal development.
The group believes in bringing the quality services back to the industry whilst allowing the directors to lead, manage and grow their own business in the way we see fit.

Ben McQueeney & Gemma Saunders
Gemma Saunders started her recruitment career in 2011, with a brief stint in payroll before stepping into a recruitment consultant position a year later.
Gemma Saunders was responsible for starting and running a brand-new HVAC and Refrigeration desk after noticing a gap in the market, she grew this desk into one of her main sources of success.
Alongside this she has successfully managed and run desks in the BMS, Construction White Collar and Fire & Security systems.
Giving her an excellent sector knowledge and enviable reputation in the building services sector.
Ben McQueeney started his recruitment career in March 2014, initially as a resourcer, sourcing staff in the Fire & Security, M&E, BMS and Rail Management sectors.
He became a consultant in 2015 and successfully grew brand new desks with the Fire Safety Engineering and Lift & Escalator sectors, where he eventually embraced an all-round consultancy desk.
Ben has since the beginning of his career always recruited in the Fire & Security market and has contacts at some of the best NSI gold installers across the UK, where he has become the first point of contact for many recruitment needs.
