Heat network training programme launched by trade bodies

New training programme aims to provide engineers with skills to ensure the effective installation and maintenance of district heating systems

BESA has helped develop a heat network training programme to support a planned expansion of these systems in the UK.

As part of the new course’s design, participants will undergo a one-hour introductory session that will then be backed by further training around good practice with regards to installation and maintenance split over nine modules. The final part of the course is based on undertaking a practical component delivered by heating manufacturers including Worcester Bosch and Baxi. This component will be delivered at one of four training centres in the UK.
