Caledonian Construction Services are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist Waterproofing business, for a site based Project Director in West London.

This role is to manage a £12m Flat Roofing project with a team of project managers, site managers and support staff.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate experience managing high value, complex external works (ideally roofing).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the management of the Operational Team allocated to your project or projects.
  • Undertake a full and ongoing review of all Commercial and Operational Performance for those projects and report to the MD monthly on performance.
  • Manage the design and procurement functions to ensure smooth and effective site operations.
  • Oversee the team and ensure that they operate efficiently and in line with Company procedures and objectives.
  • Management of relationships with all Stakeholders involved in the project to maintain positive relations throughout.
  • Ensuring programme (contract and target) is progressed to time, quality, specification and budget in accordance with the company/division KPIs and client’s requirements
  • Ensure that your project as an robust Procurement schedule with all stages planned to maximise financial and operational benefits from operating a “just in time” concept whilst ensuring no delays to production
  • Oversee the administrative duties within the team.
  • Protect the interests of the Company and develop good working relationships with Clients, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers to the benefit of the Company.
  • Ensure that the project or projects under your remit are delivered on time, within budget, safely and to the Clients requirements.
  • Constantly seek, through close relationships with the Client, opportunities to develop the support that the company can provide.
  • Report regularly and diligently to Managing Director of Waterproofing on the performance of the projects and in line with company reporting dates.

The candidate must have:

  • Design & Build
  • Schedule of Rates
  • Spec & Drawings
  • Bills of Quantities
  • Frameworks
  • Microsoft Office Packages

Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience of contract management for a main contractor

Qualifications:

  • HNC / HND in construction related subject (desirable)
  • MCIOB (desirable)
  • Full clean driving licence
