An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician to work in the Didcot area. And before you say it… Yes, we know Dicot is in the middle of nowhere!
Though my client fully understands this and has made this one of the most attractive packages we have seen for some time.
To start with, they are giving the successful candidate the choice to work 40 hours a week (Monday – Friday) or 50 hours a week (Monday – Friday).
The hourly rate remains the same regardless, though working an extra 10 hours a week will have a substantial impact (for the better) on your annual salary.
The shift pattern is Monday – Friday (2 Weeks of Early Shift followed by 2 Weeks of Late Shift). On top of this they require weekends to be worked on a rota basis (1 weekend in 3), which will be paid as Overtime at an enhanced hourly rate of £21.85 per hour.
Please Note: These will not be full days worked at the weekends.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a reputable company on a Monday – Friday basis earning potentially just shy £47,000 per annum as a basic salary, before working any overtime.
You will have at least 3 years’ experience as a HGV Mechanic / PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic and hold a recognised Level 3 qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds / Full Apprenticeship).

This position pays an hourly rate of £19.00 per hour, which equates to £46,930 per annum if you opt for the 50 hour week or £37,050 if you opt for the 40 Hour Week.
On top of this, can you expect to earn an additional £4,000-£5,000 per annum for the 1 in 3 weekend rota cover.
